Question: Why am I getting killed on Adwords?
I have sent well over 500 visitors to a product that sells well among various demographics: I haven’t made a single sale! Not even a single order form impression!

It doesn’t make any sense. Heck, I sort of want to buy the product. Why wouldn’t anyone else who clicks on the ad, which describes exactly what it is? I am so very ANGRY.

Are you targeting your keywords?

Getting traffic and getting BUYING traffic are two completely different things.

You will need to target your ad to a starving crowd that is ready to buy your product.

Example:

Un-targeted
Ad – “How To Train Your Dog”

You might get people searching for general ideas that are free on the internet. They will not buy anything.

Better:
Ad – “How to Train Your Dog to Stop Barking at Your Friends in 4 Days”

You are now targeting people who are rather desperate for a solution because their dog and friends can’t get along. They may be more ready to buy a product that will help them with this problem.

It is hard to tell you what is wrong with your ad without seeing it or the site it is pointing to.

Question: Why are my ads in Google Adwords getting significantly less clicks?
I’m not sure why. I limit my Google advertising to $ 10 a day per ad with a bid limit of $ 0.12/click and I used to get 100 clicks a day but lately I have been lucky to get 15.

I’m not sure if the position score has anything to do with it but it went from 7 to 10 on one ad and 8 to 9.6 on the other two.

10 pts. if you can figure it out

Question: Getting the most out of adwords?
I am experimenting with google adwords for my creative service business. Can I use the word ‘bullsh_t’ in my ad (with the letter in the blank space included? Are there any similar services that might welcome more creative-styled ads?

Google provide a full breakdown of their terms of us here: https://adwords.google.com/select/guidelines.html and it specifies that “Your ad cannot contain offensive or inappropriate language”.

Your attempt might get past the auto-checker, but it may actually be caught for the misuse of grammer by using the _

The best thing is to have a go. Even if they refuse, they won’t hold it against you or ban you. They will just prevent the ad going live. No harm done!
