Question: How does digital marketing work? How much does a keyword cost on Adwords and YSM? How big is Pinstorm?
Answer:
Answer by Mark Welch
The cost of a keyword on AdWords and YSM varies depending on the keyword and the landing page. For some keywords, you can obtain a high position and substantial traffic for 5 to 10 cents per click; for other keywords, you must bid more than $ 1 for your ad to appear.
I’ve been working on Search Marketing for 9+ years, but I had never heard of Pinstorm before reading your question. They appear to be one of many hundreds of “search marketing consulting firms” which might (or might not) be able to efficiently help you build a keyword campaign. However, most search marketing firms (me included) require substantial fees and can’t guarantee results.
Question: I AM ABOUT TO GET ADWORDS FROM GOOGLE but I have a question in regards to the amount per click cost in regards?
to it. Google claims that if I spend fifty cents per click rather than .05 cents that the quality of the consumer is better. How would they know that? Whether its five cents or fifty they are just using a keyword like shoes, for instance. So, I don’t get it? I can get 20 clicks vs just 2 if I spend .50

They profile their users. Both from the searches they and from anything they ever write or receive using Gmail. All gmail messages are scanned for information about the person who owns the account – it is in their user terms when you sign up.
If user A does a search on “pointy little shoes” and they have User A in the top demographic for purchasing such things, they will present user a with results or links to their higher paying clients.
If user B does a search on “pointy little shoes” and they have user B as a teenage schoolkid, then user B will be presented with results and links to their lower paying clients.
Set up three computer, yours, a kids and maybe your wife’s, open a Google search page and type in “Birthday present” and see what comes up on each system. If you often do searches on fishing, you are likely to get merchants with fishing gear or marine equipment, if your wife often searches on fashion accessories, then she will be presented to links to clothes and shoes, etc.
Your kid is likely to come up with computer games iPods, kid toys.
We have often done that sort of thing in the office – just for the fun of it. Of course if you only ever use one computer and no different user account on it, there is no knowing what it will come up with – although they will take the time of day into account.
Question: How to avoy google adwords high cost?
I just started a new business www.eu-teachers.co.uk about learning spanish in London. Google is tooo expensive
Answer:
Answer by musamid
Google Adwords is still the best. What you need is to have the knowledge on how to beat Adwords. Very likely your keyword is too broad. For a keyword like “learn spanish” will be very very expensive. It might cost you more than $ 2 for a top 3 listing. This keyword is too broad and is not targeting your niche.
Instead, you must go for long tailed keywords like….”learn to speak spanish fast”. Its more targeted and cost 0.11 cents per click. Do some research or if not you will get burnt but with a proper know-how, your niche is yours for the taking.
Wish you success
Question: Does anyone know the cost of google adwords?
I think you bid for pay per click. What about competitors clicking on my add?
Answer:
Answer by AskTheTrainerLIVE
What you pay per click (someone clicking on your ad) TOTALLY depends on the keyword.
For example, if the keyword is Beverly Hills Real Estate, the cost per click could be up to $ 50 because if someone goes to the Realtor’s website and buys a house, he’s could make 500K commission and there’s a lot of people wanting to make 500k comission.
If the keyword is “Ugly Puppy Glasses” the cost per click would probably be 5 cents, because there is really no market for ugly puppy glasses and even if someone clicked your ad and bought some, you’d only be making a little bit.
Competitors clicking on your ad is a very small possibility and Google has ways to minimize it.

You have to make sure that you have Google Conversion tracking installed and running. Should be under “Tools” in your account. What is your goal? Sales, PR?
Google Analytics will give you an idea what people are doing on your site, how do they navigate, where they are coming from etc.
